Nevada’s cannabis growing company Deep Roots Harvest plans to build a large medical marijuana facility and dispensary in the city of West Wendover, just across the border with Utah.
The projected cannabis facility will spread on an area of 8,500-square-foot and will include a dispensary and production area. The total cost would be $1.9 million, and it would take about nine months to build.
The company received an approval by the city’s council, after in July it voted in favor of an ordinance that allows the construction of a marijuana dispensary in West Wendover. Deep Roots Harvest was the only qualified applicant that participated in the bidding process.
The company already operating a successful marijuana business in Mesquite, Nevada. Its new cannabis facility will create a least 44 jobs with an average hourly payment of $16 – $17.
West Wendover is located just a 90-minute drive from Salt Lake City and attracts many Utahns, who travel to the city to gamble and have fun. Deep Roots’ new marijuana dispensary may soon be their favorite place to get weed as it’s just over the border with Nevada.
