You just have to hand it to people who oppose cannabis legalization. They have frequently used bad science, scare tactics and outright lies in order to advance their anti-cannabis agenda.
Fortunately, they do not win all the time. The United States has already taken the first steps to complete legalization. Some states have successfully legalized cannabis use – both for medical and recreational purposes. And some states are on their way there, with proposed cannabis legislation pending approval after further debate.
For now, legalized states are providing the evidence needed to fight those who are against legalization and their lies.
Legalized cannabis does not make teenagers start picking up the habit. Legalized cannabis does not heighten crimes. Arrests and prosecution related to cannabis are fewer. People are buying less alcohol, and roads are safer.
Criminal justice reforms have also been initiated in a various cities, allowing prisoners with only marijuana-related offenses go free and wiping out their criminal records.
