The year is about to come to a close and 2019 will begin. It’s time for us to make New Year’s resolutions again or to create bucket lists for things we want to accomplish next year.
One of the most common in our list — and we are sure of it! — is to get more health conscious and take steps to becoming more healthy and fit. But how about we resolve to develop healthy habits using cannabis for 2019? This means taking our health awareness plan a notch higher with the use of (legal) weed!
Here are a few ways to do this:
Use cannabis-infused salves before and after workout.
When we exert ourselves physically, our muscles tend to get sore. So let’s use preventative measures like applying cannabis-infused balms and salves and massaging them onto the overworked parts of our body before and after a workout session at the gym or any type of exercise.
You can use an infusion of CBD, THC, or a combination of both to give your tired muscles a lot of comfort. No need to worry about getting high because even if it is THC, it won’t affect your mind and behavior when used as a topical.
Eat cannabis-infused edibles, but with a lot less sugar.
If you are already in the habit of making and eating weed-infused edibles like chocolates, brownies, gummies, caramels, and creams, try to cut off on the sugar. You can also use more natural sweeteners, like stevia, coconut sugar, or raw honey, the next time you bake a batch of pot-infused desserts.
And if you are used to buying edibles from your friendly neighborhood marijuana dispensary, try going for the weed-infused granola instead. Or just make your own so you can have complete control over the ingredients used.

Bring your vape pen and go for a brisk walk
If you like vaping weed, might as well go on a brisk walk while you do it. Better yet, you make it a reward system, wherein you take a draw for every mile you’ve walked. Always be aware of your surroundings while you vape, though, as people hate that billowing cloud of smoke it creates.
Microdose and do some stretches
Stretching is one of the best fitness activities there is. So get that extra inch of stretch and feel the burn. Take a very small dose of cannabis in tincture or edible form one hour before or have a puff off your vape pen right before you do some stretching. The added stimulation will help you get into the zone.
Cut back on getting stoned on the couch
If you find yourself getting stoned while just chilling on the couch more often than the times you find yourself making art, going outdoors, and actually doing something productive, then you should reevaluate your habit. Make more time for seshing while doing something that also makes you feel fulfilled and good about yourself.
